Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ichibase (the “Service”) — a managed backend-as-a-service providing databases (Postgres / MongoDB), authentication, storage, edge functions, and realtime. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. Accounts

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials, API keys, and tokens secure. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction. One free project is allowed per account.

2. Plans, billing & taxes

The free plan runs on shared infrastructure with quotas. Paid (“Pro”) plans run on a dedicated VPS at a flat price equal to the real server cost plus our service fee. Paid plans are billed through our payment provider (Paddle), which acts as Merchant of Record and collects any applicable VAT / sales tax based on your location. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. If we are unable to provision or upgrade your project after you have paid, we will refund that charge. (Paid plans may be temporarily unavailable while we finalise launch.)

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the Service to: break the law or infringe others’ rights; store or distribute malware or illegal content; mine cryptocurrency or run abusive workloads in edge functions; attack, probe, or overload any system (ours or third parties’); circumvent quotas or security; or resell the Service without permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice.

4. Free-plan resource & inactivity policy

Free projects are subject to hard quotas and are not backed up. A free project that is inactive for 7 days is removed: we email reminders on days 6, 7, and 8 of inactivity, and the project is permanently deleted on day 9. Any use of the project resets this clock. A project that repeatedly lapses into inactivity (3 times) will, on the next lapse, be deleted immediately without further warning. Because free projects are not backed up, this deletion is final and the data cannot be recovered.

5. Your data & content

You own the data and content you put into the Service. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process, and transmit it solely to operate and provide the Service to you. When you use ichibase to build an application, you are responsible for your application’s end users and their data, and for having a lawful basis to process it (see our Privacy Policy).

6. Service availability & changes

ichibase is an early-stage Service provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, and we don’t guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We’ll make reasonable efforts to give notice of material changes.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your projects/account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or to protect the Service or other users. On termination, your data may be deleted in line with our Privacy Policy and the free-plan policy above.

8. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ichibase is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 3 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence still apply.
